Tsuzuki Asato is a shinigami and it's his job to round up lost spirits and make sure they reach the afterlife. Tsuzuki's partner is Hisoka Kurosaki, a shinigami who looks like a young boy and seems sickly due to the way he died. The anime follows this pair and their assorted characters through their cases as they deal with a serial murderer. Sometimes the series is comedic & sometimes it's more horror.This is a 11-volume tankoubon series by Yoko Matsushita and released by Hana to Yume comics in Japan and Viz in America. This series ends at 11 volumes since Matsushita went on hiatus.
