Kamui Shiro is a young man who returns to Tokyo to honour his mother's final wishes. Although all he wants is to be left alone, he must decide the world's fate by becoming either a Dragon of Heaven and protecting humanity or a Dragon of Earth and destroy humanity so the world can be reborn. With his childhood freinds, he fulfills his destiny. X is written by CLAMP, who also wrote Chobits, Card Captor Sakura, Magic Knights Rayearth & Tokyo Babylon, among many others. X has 18 tankoubon, published by Asuka Comics in Japan and Viz in America. The story is incomplete, since the manga was put on hiatus in 2003.
