Ayumu Narumi's older brother Kiyotaka, a renowned detective and piano player, disappears mysteriously one ordinary day. The only clue Ayumu has are whispered rumors of a bizarre group called the Blade Children. Two years later a series of murders begin. Strangely enough, all these incidents point back to the mystifying Blade Children. Detective Madoka tries to get to the bottom of the recent killings as part of her job as lead investigator on the case. But even Madoka has more at stake...she was Kiyotaka's wife. Together with school journalist, Hiyono Yuizaki, Ayumu tries to figure out the mystery of the Blade Children. Somehow he seems to be the key to the puzzle. But how can a puzzle be solved when nearly all the pieces are missing?15 tankoubon make up this manga series, released in Japan by Shonen GanGan and authored by Kyou Shirodaira with Eita Mizuno as artist. The first manga series is called "Spiral ~ Suiri no Kizuna" and a second, prequel series is called "Spiral Alive," which is still being published and currently has 5 tankoubon (the bottom image). Tokyopop is working out licensing issues to publish this in America.
