While the spirits doesn’t appear often, some spirits has enough power to materialize in human or animal forms and live together with humans. Dantists, who play special music called “Commandia,” are widely respected in this world. They also usually are in contract with powerful spirits. The story of Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica revolves around the new Dantist, Phoron Tatara, the spirit that he made contract with, Corticarte Apa Lagranges, and their friends, in their daily life and work.Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica crimson S, from anime tip: This story takes place before the previous season, when Phoron and the rest are still studying in the Commandia Academy. Story revolves around the four immense "Sousei Gakkis" that are used for the creation of the world. There's both manga (pictured on top) and light novel series of this title. The light novels are released in 4 groups and 1 compliation. The light novels are written by different people. One of the authors is Sakaki Ichiro, who also wrote Scrapped Princess and the Polyphonica manga, which is called "Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica - Cardinal Crimson." The other author of the manga is Ocelot. So far, the manga has released 3 tankoubon and is published in Japan by Flex Comix and in America by CMX.In addition, there's a manga for Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S (pictured on bottom). So far, it's up to 5 tankoubon. Sakaki is the author of this manga, too.
